Post-match reaction from Rita Guarino and Lisa Alborghetti after the draw with Como

Women's Serie A matchday 14 ended with a 1-1 draw at home to Como for the Nerazzurre. The guests took the lead through Pavan at the Stadio Ernesto Breda in Sesto San Giovanni before Elisa Polli brought Inter level two minutes later. Here's what Head Coach Rita Guarino had to say after the game:

“We reacted well after going a goal down due to our own mistakes. We also had other chances to score in the first half, but just couldn't take them. We didn't do enough in the second half to get all three points. It was important to play well today to gather some momentum for the Coppa Italia on Wednesday. We'll move on from this draw; we need to work hard ahead of our next game and then, two days later, we're back to it in the league. We need to recover our energy and prepare to go out there and get a result.”

Lisa Alborghetti also had her say:

“We wanted the three points but didn't get them; we need to work harder. We now have a lot of games in quick succession and we won't give up. We need to move on from our mistakes and keep improving. Every game is important; we'll travel to Genoa in the right frame of mind.”
