Inter Academy Chile: an internship in Milano
Inter Academy
— Oct 6th 2025A week full of excitement, learning, and unforgettable moments: Inter Academy Chile experienced an extraordinary few days in Milano, capped by the renewal of its agreement with FC Internazionale Milano until 2028. This strong signal confirms the solidity and value of the Nerazzurri project in Chile, which continues to be a leading example for the sporting and personal development of young South American talents.
The group - made up of 16 children and accompanied by Iván Zamorano, the long-standing ambassador of the Chilean Academy - took part in a week of engaging activities, including on-field sessions, educational workshops, and special moments at the stadium and training centre.
During their stay, the youngsters attended educational sessions with key figures from Inter's Youth and Women's sectors, including a sports psychologist, Primavera players, and Inter Women’s Ivana Andrés, who shared her experience of leadership and development in women's football.
The week began on Tuesday 30 September with two unforgettable experiences. In the afternoon, the youngsters watched the 2-2 UEFA Youth League draw between Inter Primavera and Slavia Praha, cheering on the Nerazzurri from the stands. In the evening, they then experienced the magic of the Champions League firsthand, witnessing Inter’s 3-0 victory over Slavia Praha at San Siro and taking part in the pre-match greetings in the atmospheric LED area of the Museum.
On Friday 3 October, it was time for an official day at Inter HQ: the children toured the headquarters and the trophy room, getting a close-up view of the Club’s history. In the afternoon, an official meeting took place between the Inter Academy partners and Chief Revenue Officer Giorgio Ricci to celebrate the renewal of the collaboration until 2028.
On Saturday 4 October, the youngsters experienced another special moment: three of them accompanied Inter Women as they took to the pitch, while the other 13 formed the entrance tunnel for the players at the Arena Civica in Milano.
Later that evening, the youngsters - accompanied by Zamorano - witnessed Inter's 4-1 league victory over Cremonese at San Siro, experiencing firsthand the excitement and passion of the Nerazzurri fans. Before Cristian Chivu's side secured the win, the Academy had the chance to soak up the atmosphere pitchside, just a stone’s throw from the players as they warmed up.
The weekend concluded on Sunday 5 October with a special training session at the Konami Football Centre, the beating heart of the Youth Sector. The youngsters took part in a technical session alongside Zamorano, and this was followed by a certificate presentation ceremony. To round off the day, they watched Inter U23's warm-up ahead of their match against Ospitaletto.
It was an intense and meaningful week, symbolising the ever-stronger bond between Milano and Chile, united by the values of Inter Academy: shaping people before footballers, and doing so through passion, respect, and the Nerazzurri identity.
