Inter Women beat Ternana with four goals and fly into the Coppa Italia semifinals

At the Arena Civica Gianni Brera, Inter Women put on a solid display, beating Ternana 4-0 in the second leg of the Coppa Italia quarter-finals. A strong victory that came through skill and intensity, and now Inter Women have secured a place in the semi-finals, where they will face Roma.

The Nerazzurre made a strong start and took the lead just two minutes in through a spectacular team effort, which featured Vilhjalmsdottir releasing Bugeja through the middle, and the forward calmly beat Ghioc to open the scoring. Inter continued to dominate, controlling the pace and consistently looking to press forward. In the 22nd minute, Glionna came close to doubling the lead with a cross from the right that was denied on the line by the visitors' defence. The second goal came just before the break, in the 42nd minute: Pleidrup's long ball found Bugeja, who took control, beat Corrado, and calmly finished with her right foot to secure a brace.

Inter began the second half immediately on the front foot. Glionna tested Ghioc with a first-time effort from the right in the 51st minute, and a minute later, Detruyer's dangerous curling shot from the left was tipped behind for a corner by Ghioc. Ternana attempted to respond with long-range efforts from Lazaro and Di Giammarino, but the Nerazzurre defence stayed solid and compact. The third goal came in the 77th minute: set up by Lina Magull, Csiszar played an incredibly curling right-footed shot, finding the back of the net. The final goal that sealed the game came in the 85th minute and was a true masterpiece. Robustellini played Magull in from the left, and the German midfielder finished with the perfect backheel to make it 4-0. After a minute of added time, the final whistle confirmed a convincing win and Inter Women's place in the Coppa Italia semi-finals.
