— Jul 25th 2025Inter Women kicked off their 2025/26 pre-season with a win, edging out Young Boys 4–3 in their first official outing of the campaign. The Nerazzurre showed promising signs, with good movement, tempo and team spirit on display.
The match got off to a lively start. The hosts took the lead in the eighth minute through Frey, who slotted home from inside the box. Inter responded well, with Pleidrup equalising in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute, the first substitution of the match saw Tomaselli come on for Giudici. Just two minutes later, Bugeja rattled the crossbar with a powerful right-footed strike; Magull found the net on the rebound, but the goal was ruled out. In the 34th minute, Bugeja put Inter ahead. Young Boys responded quickly, drawing level through a 39th-minute penalty from Waeber. But Piovani’s side kept their composure and regained the lead right on the stroke of half-time thanks to Csiszar's finish.
Fresh legs were introduced by both teams after half-time to inject new energy into the match. Young Boys found another equaliser in the 55th minute through Josten. However, Inter weren’t done yet: in the 60th minute, Bugeja bagged her second of the day, a goal that ultimately sealed the win.
