— YesterdayDimarco speaks at the end of Parma 0-2 Inter
A match full of energy and endless running, accompanied by the usual refined technique: Federico Dimarco was one of the main players in Inter’s victory at the Tardini against Parma. The full-back scored his 18th league goal since his return to Inter in the summer of 2021: a record among defenders, shared with teammates Denzel Dumfries and Theo Hernandez. Federico has reached three goals in this Serie A season, which, combined with five assists, makes him the defender with the most goal involvements in the top five European leagues. Interestingly, the goal that opened the scoring against Parma came with his right foot, just as it did against the Ducali at San Siro in the previous season.
After the match, Dimarco, named MVP, spoke in the post-game interviews:
“Like in every match, we had quite a few chances that, maybe due to bad luck or other factors, we didn’t manage to convert. Today it was important to win, and we di, now we focus on Sunday. This team has achieved so much in recent years. Could we have won more? Yes, but after a final like last year’s, we really came together under the coach, and now the true value of the group is showing. We’re all united, everyone runs for each other, we help each other out, and when we celebrate, we celebrate together. Defender with the most goal involvements in the top 5 European leagues? Let’s hope we can keep it going!”
