The thoughts of the Inter Coach and the Head of Women Football Marco Ieradi, after the win against Roma which sealed Champions League qualification for Inter Women

An historic and deserved achievement. Inter Women won 3-0 at Arena Civica against Roma and qualified for the Champions League with three games left. It was a brilliant win which saw Inter dominate and win thanks to goals from Polli and Bartoli and the own-goal from Troelsgaard. At the end of the match, Piovani and Marco Ieradi, Head of Women Football shared their thoughts:

“There's lots of joy to be shared with the girls, staff and club. We were brilliant, the team held their heads high and changed gear. We're a brilliant group. For us, this year has been different, there's been a lot of changes. We've worked well and I'd like to thank those who have helped me throughout. The goal was to do better than last year, we've done so and laid down solid foundations for next year. There's always the negative side, where we could've defended better to not concede late goals, but luckily we've found our spirit. The girls have been great and together, and we have always believed in what we do. Now, it's time to think about doing well in the next matches. ”

Gianpiero Piovani

“It was great to see the excitement of the girls, staff and the fans who have always been by our side. The group is together, it's a brilliant group that's been put together in a fast and effective way. I'd like to thank the Coach, staff and the girls who have worked tirelessly, this is the winning secret of this team. Today is the high point of the season, also for the way in which we secured qualification. Then, I'd say it would be the win against Roma and the comeback against Juventus. Every win has given us strength and awareness. It's a great starting point, but we know that we need to improve a lot, entering European competitions is great, but it's also a big step. ”

Marco Ieradi, Head of Women Football
