The thoughts of the Inter defender at the end of Juventus 4-3 Inter

Inter showed personality and character away to Juventus, but it wasn't enough to get the win.

At the end of the game at the Allianz Stadium, Alessandro Bastoni spoke, analysing the match against Juventus:

“When you concede four goals, the thoughts on the game will always nearly be negative. We were unlucky at some times, perhaps we deserved to get more from different chances, but perhaps it's better to take these blows early on in the season, because there's still a long way to go. We conceded from distance, especially the fourth goal: we needed to be sharper and more focussed, and we were probably also a bit tired towards the end. After conceding four goals it’s always difficult to speak positively about the performance, but in three days a new competition begins. We’ll need to review what went wrong and start again. We played well, we have the perception on the pitch to be better, even in our attitude, we managed to come back twice and turn the result around: we probably lacked some sharpness in scoring, but we're just at the start and we will definitely do better. This is a new season, I carry last season with pride as we got to the Champions League final: there's nothing more to add about what happened, we're hoping to be a bit luckier in certain instances. ”

Alessandro Bastoni

“In these types of matches, the different chances make the difference: we spoke, at 3-2 in a stadium like this we should've interpreted the game in a better way to bring the three points home. The thing that counts is the win but we couldn't get it. We always want to win: in the last two matches, we haven't managed to. We're working lots to get back to winning ways. We didn't manage to tonight due to small details, but we can still have a great season, working together as players and staff. ”
