Wearing the captain's armband and his usual solid self, Danilo D'Ambrosio, was replaced in the second half by Milan Skriniar. These are the number 33's thoughts after the game speaking to Inter TV.
“We've changed our approach: the secret is to play as a team, that's how the best of each individual comes out. In the last two games, we've shown this positive attitude and it's brought us results. Winning is always important, and that's further enhanced when you make few mistakes. After conceding, we kept the ball well, it's a deserved victory. Most of these players have helped Inter do well in previous seasons and made them have the best defence. But you can't always be at the top of your condition, this is why we need to dictate the tempo of the game when we realise we the moments we can hurt teams.”

Coming on after the break, he provided the assist for Dzeko's winner; it was a starring role for Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Here are his comments at the end of the match.
“We showed in the last game against Barcellona that we had turned a page. We're still not perfect but we are improving, we want to win every game and today we fought until the end to obtain the three points. Obviously, it was tough at 1-1, but we are Inter and we showed we never give up. We have to win every game and today we did that. Dzeko? I'm pleased for him, I know him for three years now and he deserves to get many goals. I'm happy to have given him the assist, but the most important thing are the three points.”
