— Nov 2nd 2025The players' reactions after Inter beat Hellas Verona 2-1 in stoppage time
A win that came well into stoppage time, thanks to an own goal from Frese, that gave Inter all three points. The Nerazzurri did not give up and fought for the win until the final whistle. Hakan Calhanoglu, who delivered the brilliant assist to Zielinski to make it 1-0, and Manuel Akanji, who remained solid at the back both on the right and then later in the centre.
“We played a good game. It’s always tough to play here, and the 12:30 kickoff makes it a bit harder, but we won, and we’re happy. The ball to Zielinski? That’s something I’ve been doing since I was a kid, but I’ve worked a lot on shooting from outside the box, free-kicks, penalties. These are my strengths, and I try to take shots whenever I can. Today it was important because it helped us win, and we want to aim high, where Inter deserve to be.”

“Chivu is always trying to help us improve by analysing all of the games, whether we win or not. Today was a tough game, but we will take all of the positives and use them to grow more. It was a very stop-start match, with lots of fouls and interruptions. Luckily, we scored at the end. We tried to control the ball and manage the game until the final whistle, even if it wasn’t easy. This win is very important for us as we take home three crucial points. Now we turn our focus to recovering and preparing for our next Champions League match.”
