An evening of goals and big numbers for Inter who beat Sassuolo away and sit top of the table on 58 points. Federico Dimarco, who had a standout performance with three assists earning him MVP, breaks down the 5-0 triumph at the MAPEI Stadium. Yann Bisseck was key in opening the scoring, while Manuel Akanji netted his first goal in the Nerazzurri shirt.
“We didn't start off that well today. We had to deal with a few counterattacks, then there was the disallowed goal. But it turned out fine in the end. The important thing was to win all three points, and we did so we're very happy. Do I consider myself one of the top five players in the world? You know how football is: if everything goes well, you’re a phenomenon; if not, you’re considered weak. I just keep going, because what matters most are the team’s results.”

“If we take the first 10 minutes, we struggled a bit, they are a quality side, but we’re very strong this year. We stayed in the game and scored some nice goals, so we’re happy. The goal? Actually, I’ve missed a few lately, I should be at six or seven by now, but I’m glad if I can help the team. I’m on the right track, but I still have a lot to improve on. With the coach’s trust, though, anything is possible. We have to keep going like this. Every match is tough, and every opponent wants to get a result against us. We need to stay focused, but if we keep progressing like we are, we’ll have a great season.”
Yann Bisseck
“Tonight was my first goal for Inter. I'd scored in training before, but not in a match. I was free and I just had to finish Dimarco's perfect pass. It wasn't an easy game tonight especially in the first half we struggled, but we struck at the right moments. This result helps us move closer to our goals. The clean sheet? That’s even more important to me than the goal. Scoring is nice, but given how important a clean sheet is for me and for the team, I’ll take that. The Super Bowl? I’ll definitely watch it with Bisseck. ”
