Bisseck and Bonny: "We deserved more, but football isn't always fair "
Team
— Nov 26th 2025A first Champions League setback for Inter, who lost 2-1 to Atletico at the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid, in a match where there were chances and examples of top quality play. Here are the thoughts of the Nerazzurri at the end of the match.
“It can happen – we didn't deserve to lose today, but this is football. We have to keep working and hope for a bit of luck. Honestly, we gave our all. From two, three shots we conceded two goals. It's not fair, but football is like this and we need to move forward. I'm happy with the performance because we played well, there's always something to improve on but I can't say anything negative about the team. It hurts, I don't know what to say. We played an excellent game; it’s never easy to play here.”
Yann Bisseck
“Tonight hurts because we were so close: in the end it comes down to the little things, and today they went against us. We could have done more to bring home all three points. Beyond the assist, every one of us works first and foremost for the team – we did that today, but it still wasn’t enough. Now we focus on Pisa. We want the three points. There’s no time to drop our heads: with the Champions League the games come quickly, and we have to pick ourselves up straight away.”
