“I feel good and that's the most important thing, I rested three days ago and I was fresh today. Not only me, the whole team was very up for it, it doesn't happen every year that you play in a derby in the semi-final of the Champions League. We were all focused, from the first to the last minute, and we got the reward. Sometimes the goals don't come and that's all anyone talks about, but I try to give a lot more to the team, more than just goals. Also today I tried my best for the team, especially in these games you need that from everyone.”

“Definitely a very important victory for us, it’s a very good result. We approached the game in the right way. For me it's a beautiful thing to have got this victory. It was a good derby for us, now we focus on the league game at the weekend and then the second leg. I want to congratulate all my team-mates because we played really well, pressing AC Milan immediately and certainly going two goals up 11 minutes meant that we had to manage the game well, even if in the second half we lowered the intensity a bit, but we have an important advantage to take into the second leg. In a week's time we have to finish the job. Now we think about Sassuolo and then after that, the second leg.”

“We are happy because we knew the importance of the match, but now we need stay focussed because in six days they will come and give it their all to try and turn around the game and we must be ready.
