The Coach's thoughts after Inter vs. Salernitana

MILAN - Inter ran out 2-0 winners over Salernitana at San Siro, picking up three important points after an assured performance full of focus. This is what Coach Simone Inzaghi had to say after the game:

"The lads were very focused and produced a really good display; we gave very little away and were always in control. I asked the team to play with the right attitude because this match came after some important games where we expended a lot of energy both physically and mentally.

"It's only normal for you to gain confidence when you perform well against big sides. I have to be honest and say that games like these are difficult to prepare; after all, we only got back from Barcelona at 4am. However, the team responded well.

"There are always discussions during the season. They're important as long as they're constructive. We're on a positive run and the pitch counts for a lot. I've seen the lads helping each other out, and this bodes well for the future.

"Handanovic wasn't available today because he had a problem. There will be alternation, and it's a doubt that I'd like to continue to have. Onana has shown that he's a goalkeeper up to the standard that is needed at Inter. I always want to be lucky enough to have options to choose from.

"As regards Lukaku, we'll see how things go day by day. The important thing is to see him preparing as best he can to make his return, and we hope this will happen as soon as possible."
