Inzaghi: "Great second half. We're confident ahead of the second leg"

It ended 1-1 between AC Milan and Inter in the Coppa Italia 2024/25 semi-final first leg. It all happened in the second half as Abraham broke the deadlock. In the 67th minute, Calhanoglu equalised with a powerful and precise right-footed shot. The Nerazzurri then pushed on for the winning goal, without any of the chances materialising. Coach Simone Inzaghi spoke at the end of the match:
“It was an intense derby, we could've gone ahead through De Vrij and Frattesi in the first half, but then they went ahead in the second half. I think we played better as we created lots of chances against a very good side who have great players. I looked at the first goal and there was a rebound which went in their favour, the team are still united though, we played very well in the second half. ”
