The ceremony kicks off at 20:00 CEST, as France Football reveals the 2025 awards: two Nerazzuri eye the Ballon d’Or, while our Swiss No.1 is up for Best Keeper.

France Football has unveiled the 30 nominated players for the 2025 Ballon d’Or. Two Inter players have made the list: Lautaro Martínez and Denzel Dumfries.

For the Nerazzurri captain, it’s his fourth nomination for the prestigious award presented by the French magazine. Lautaro previously finished 21st in 2021, 20th in 2023, and 7th in 2024. For Dumfries, this marks his first Ballon d’Or nomination.

The shortlist is decided upon by the editorial teams of France Football and L’Équipe, under the supervision of two international football figures: this year, Luis Figo, Ballon d’Or winner in 2000, and Fabio Capello. Criteria include individual performances and team achievements. The awards ceremony will be held in Paris on Monday, 22 September.

Lautaro and Dumfries are two of only three Serie A players named on this year’s Ballon d’Or shortlist. The third is Yann Sommer, who appears among the nominees for the Yashin Trophy, awarded annually to the best goalkeeper of the season.
