It could only be Inter. An unforgettable season: first the Scudetto, now the Coppa Italia. The tenth in Inter's history, securing a historic domestic double, which the Nerazzurri have only achieved three times before. At the Olimpico in Rome, Chivu’s side delivered another statement performance, needing just one half to put Lazio away in a commanding 2-0 victory. The opener arrived after 14 minutes: Dimarco’s corner, Thuram’s flick, and Marusic heading it into the back of his own net. Then came the captain’s moment on 35 minutes with Lautaro finishing off a brilliant assist from Dumfries. From there, Inter took complete control, managing the game with authority. Akanji and Martinez came up with crucial defensive stops, while Luis Henrique and Zielinski both went close to adding a third. The Nerazzurri fans sang at full volume all night. Another celebration, another trophy: after the Scudetto, the Coppa Italia belongs to Inter too.
