Inter U23 were beaten 1–0 at home by Giana Erminio at the U-Power Stadium in Monza, with Lamesta scoring the decisive goal in first-half stoppage time. Reduced to ten men from the 25th minute after Melgrati was sent off, the Nerazzurri struggled to find space or clear chances against a well-organised and disciplined Giana Erminio defence.

The match started at a slow tempo, with Inter seeing more of the ball but creating little. Topalovic went closest early on with a volley from distance that flew just wide. The turning point came midway through the first half, when Melgrati was shown a red card following an on-field review, forcing Vecchi to replace Topalovic with Raimondi. Giana Erminio took advantage of their numerical superiority and, in stoppage time, Lamesta reacted quickest to a rebound to give the visitors the lead.

After the break, Inter reorganised and pushed for an equaliser, creating chances through Lavelli and Zanchetta, while Vecchi introduced fresh legs to inject energy. Despite sustained pressure and a late scare when Lischetti struck the post for the visitors, the Nerazzurri could not find a way through, going closest in added time with a deflected cross that narrowly missed the target.
