Another mature performance, another win on the road. Inter came away from Pisa with three crucial points, winning 2-0 thanks to a Lautaro Martinez brace, a result that lifts the Nerazzurri into third place on 27 points, just one behind the leaders. It was a display built on quality, tempo and a clear identity — and the numbers back it up, highlighting a team that continues to grow, week after week.

NERAZZURRI STATS

The win over Pisa marked a sixth straight Serie A victory for Inter, extending a dominant trend. Chivu’s side have now won each of their last six league meetings with the Tuscan club, taking their overall tally in the fixture to 31 goals.

Inter’s form against newly promoted teams remains exceptional: nine wins from their last ten encounters, averaging 2.4 goals per game in that stretch.

The team also reached a rare milestone by completing the first thirteen matchdays without a single draw. It’s only the third time in the club’s recent history that this has happened, repeating the feats of the 2022/23 and 1940/41 seasons.

LAUTARO: TOP SCORER AND RECORD-BREAKER

There was a standout performer at the Arena Garibaldi: Lautaro Martinez. The Inter captain scored his first brace in Serie A since September 2024 and marked a major milestone – his 250th league appearance.

More importantly, his two goals take him to the top of this season's Serie A scoring chart on six goals, and they add another chapter to his place in Inter history. With this latest brace, Lautaro reaches 163 goals, moving clear of Sandro Mazzola and taking fourth place outright in the Club’s all-time scoring list. He now trails only Meazza, Altobelli and Boninsegna (171), while Mazzola drops to fifth on 161.

The match also delivers another distinction: Pisa become the 29th different opponent he has scored against in Serie A. Since his league debut in 2018/19, no player has found the net against as many different teams.

BARELLA’S IMPACT

Nicolò Barella continues to shine at the heart of Inter’s play. His fourth assist of the season reinforces his status as one of Serie A’s leading creators — only Nico Paz has provided more so far. It’s a statistic that reflects the growing weight of his attacking contribution, already close to matching his numbers from the whole of last season.

PIO ESPOSITO’S RAPID RISE

Francesco Pio Esposito continues to take confident strides in his development. In Pisa, he produced the decisive moment that unlocked the match, providing the assist for Lautaro’s opener with composure and clarity in the final third.

After scoring in Cagliari and now setting up a crucial goal at the Arena Garibaldi, the 2005-born forward stands out as the youngest player in Serie A this season to have contributed to two goals.

Energy, quality and personality from Pio, making a decisive impact in a key away win.
