— Nov 6th 2025Fourth match, fourth win. Inter continued their Champions League journey with a 2-1 victory over Kairat Almaty at San Siro, where an intense and exciting encounter unfolded. An important result that strengthens the Nerazzurri's position at the top of the table and adds another chapter to their European story.
HISTORIC RUN
Following their win over the Kazakh side, Inter have claimed victory in the first four matches of a European Cup/Champions League campaign for the first time in the Club’s history. A perfect start built on quality, solidity and mentality, and the Nerazzurri have now won ten of their last eleven Champions League games against teams they were facing for the first time. It's a record that underlines the strength and consistency of Cristian Chivu’s side, with the Nerazzurri coach becoming the first tactician to win his first four matches in the competition since Hansi Flick with Bayern Munich in 2020.
LAUTARO STRIKES AGAIN
Captain and talisman. Lautaro Martínez found the net once more, hitting a new personal milestone: he's become only the third player in Inter's history to score in each of his first three Champions League appearances of the season, following Samuel Eto'o and Adriano. El Toro has now scored 25 goals in the Champions League, equalling Hernán Crespo in third place among the most prolific Argentinians in the competition's history, behind Lionel Messi and Sergio Agüero. With twelve goals to his name, Inter's No. 10 is also the top scorer in Europe's premier competition in 2025.
CARLOS AUGUSTO, FIRST EUROPEAN STRIKE
It was also night to remember for Carlos Augusto, who bagged the decisive second. The Brazilian netted his first Champions League goal in his 23rd appearance in the competition, taking his overall tally for Inter to five across all competitions. A fantastic moment for a player who is becoming an increasingly important figure in the Nerazzurri's system, capable of making an impact at both ends of the pitch.
PIO ESPOSITO'S ASSISTS
Pio Esposito continued his excellent start to the season, registering his second assist of this Champions League campaign with the layoff for Carlos Augusto's goal. Among those with at least two assists in the competition, only Jude Bellingham is younger than the Nerazzurri's 2005-born talent.
