— Nov 23rd 2024The two forwards' joy after contributing to a 5-0 win over Hellas Verona
The joy of getting back on the scoresheet, the happiness of sending a teammate through on goal, the hugs, the adrenaline, a forever united group. Hellas Verona vs. Inter showcased a series of stunning goals, but also brought about some strong emotions. Joaquín Correa, who scored for the first time in Serie A after 756 days - on 29 October 2022, against Sampdoria -, repeated the feat again at the Bentegodi, at the ground where he netted twice on his Nerazzurri debut. He also provided assists, with Thuram bagging a brace and sharing the celebrations, as well as the desire to work hard together towards the same goals. At the end of the 5-0 win over Hellas Verona, the two Nerazzurri forwards gave their reactions:
“I felt like I was gonna score; it was something I really wanted. My teammates help me a lot: I'm relaxed, working well and I'm happy. They were all happy I did well today, as they were yesterday when they heard that I'd been selected to play today. This shows that we are a good group; we're all working in the same direction and need to keep it going. The assist to Bisseck? I wanted to do it, and I'm happy that he scored. Thuram? He's a great player; it's easy to play with him; his movement is great and gives everything he has to win; he's a player who gives this team a lot. What happened today is very important to me; I will continue to work diligently to help this team.”
Joaquin Correa
“Yeah, I stole Correa's celebration because I like him a lot. Tucu is a great player; we see it in training every day and we are very happy for his game. The goals? Sometimes, I score two, other times three, or none at all. As I always say, the most important thing is that Inter win. The Bisseck goal? I don't know if he intended to put it there, but the important thing is that he scored. I'm happy for him, too."”
