Visit to Milan's Paediatric wards for a Nerazzurro Christmas
Community
— just nowInter supports the city’s hospitals and pediatric wards throughout the year through various initiatives, such as stadium hospitality and the Winners Cup, the tournament featuring young patients from European pediatric oncology units. It is a constant commitment that finds one of its most meaningful moments during the Christmas period. As per tradition, at Christmas time the Nerazzurri family visited pediatric wards to share a moment of joy with young patients and healthcare staff. A simple yet precious gesture that each year renews the bond between the Club and healthcare institutions in the city.
A delegation from the Club, headed by Vice President Javier Zanetti and Cristian Chivu, made up of players from the Men's and Women's First Teams, the U23's and the Primavera: Pio Esposito, Denzel Dumfries, Yann-Aurel Bisseck, Elisa Polli, Chiara Robustellini, Irene Santi, Matteo Cocchi, Alessandro Pentima, Matias Mancuso and Filippo Cerpelletti. The Inter legend Francesco Toldo also joined them.
The top management also represented the Club in this initiative, as they met the delegation at the Inter headquarters before departure. As in each of the CSR initiatives, some employees also took part, as an integral part of the charitable activities carried out throughout the year.
The visits involved three pediatric wards representing the city’s healthcare institutions: the “Vittore Buzzi” Children’s Hospital, the Alfieri Pediatric Surgery Department at the Policlinico, and San Raffaele Hospital. A journey that allowed the Nerazzurri delegation to meet many children and young people, bringing smiles, holiday wishes, and moments that helped make the Christmas period even more special.
