Career Story

Aleksandar Stanković has lived and breathed Inter since childhood, through the triumphs of his father Dejan. Born in Milan on August 3, 2005, Aleksandar took his first steps with the Nerazzurri colours already sewn into his heart, celebrating Scudetto triumphs on the San Siro pitch.

It has been a story filled with powerful emotions, like those Aleksandar experienced when he first put on the Inter shirt and joined the club’s youth academy at the age of 12, following a trial match against Ausonia.

It was love at first sight, nurtured over time with dedication in the Nerazzurri youth setup, where Aleksandar developed both as a footballer and as a person. There, he worked with a coach like Cristian Chivu, who helped him grow and entrusted him with the captain’s armband on several occasions. He also forged a strong bond with Pio Esposito, with whom he shared many memorable moments.

As a child, he dreamed of following in his father’s footsteps. He studied Dejan’s style of play and inherited his position as a midfielder, but he developed in his own way, building tactical intelligence, physical strength and versatility that allow him to play not only in midfield but also as a centre-back.

Stanković moved to Lucerne in 2024 and enjoyed a standout season in the Swiss league, making 38 appearances and scoring three goals.

That became his calling card for a move to Belgium, where he joined another Nerazzurri side, Club Brugge. There, he enjoyed an outstanding campaign, making 55 appearances in all competitions and contributing nine goals and five assists, along with unforgettable moments such as his Champions League debut.

A journey that brought him back home once again, ready to live his dream and wear the colours that made him fall in love with football as a child.
