Career Story
A modern, versatile defender blessed with an exceptional left foot, Alessandro Bastoni was born on April 13, 1999, in Casalmaggiore. Bastoni began his football journey at Atalanta, where he came through the club’s entire youth academy system.
His story with Inter began in the summer of 2017, when the Nerazzurri signed him from Atalanta but left him on loan at the Bergamo-based club. He then spent another season on loan, this time at Parma.
In the 2019/20 season, he made his Inter debut in Genoa against Sampdoria on September 28, 2019. From that moment on, Alessandro began writing a unique and special chapter in his career. Bastoni has become one of the most iconic players of the Nerazzurri squad, winning no fewer than nine trophies with the club: three Serie A titles, three Coppa Italia trophies and three Italian Super Cups.
A technically gifted defender, excellent both in his defensive duties and going forward thanks to his precise crosses and long-range passing, Bastoni has also produced unforgettable performances in Italy and Europe. With the Italian national team, he also won UEFA Euro 2020.
