Medel's Chile lose Confederations Cup Final

Germany win 1-0 in the final held in Saint Petersburg, Lara Stindl with the decisive goal in the first half


SAINT PETERSBURG - Germany have won the Confederations Cup 2017 after a 1-0 victory against Chile at the Saint Petersburg Stadium. 

Lars Stindl pounced on a mistake by Marcelo Diaz in the 20th minute to give his side the lead and they held on for the rest of the game. 

Nerazzurri star Gary Medel played the whole game at centre-back for the Chileans.
