The Croat shared his thoughts after renewing his Inter contract until 2026

It's a big day for both Marcelo Brozovic and Inter: today the Croatian midfield maestro, who has been at the club since January 2015, has put a pen to a new contract until 2026

You've been at Inter for seven years and today is another chapter in your story. What does renewing your contract mean to you?

"I'm delighted to have signed a new deal with Inter. I was desperate to renew my contract and the club was aware of that.

"I've never held talks with any other clubs out of respect for Inter and their fans. I'd like to thank the club and I'll say it again, I'm so happy for today.

"I've always said to my agents that I wouldn't want to speak to any other club unless Inter told me that they weren't interested in renewing my deal."

You've seen how the squad has evolved in recent years. How proud are you to be part of this team?

"I'm really proud to be part of this group of players and this club which has such a rich history. It's always been an honour and a privilege for me to represent Inter.

"I've always respected and loved this club and that will never change. I feel great playing under the current coach and with my teammates. I'm delighted that I'll be representing this club for longer and that I'll be part of this project."

Last season you won the Scudetto and this time around you've enjoyed Super Cup glory and have just signed a new deal. How keen are you to achieve more?

"We're keen to achieve more as a group. We always play to win and that's what we set out to do.

"There's one thing I have no doubts over: no efforts will be spared as we try to win the Scudetto and the Coppa Italia.

"We'll work harder every day because it's only through hard work, effort, and determination in training that you can achieve these goals."

You're an idol of the San Siro faithful who were waiting on tenterhooks to hear about you signing a new deal. Did you expect so much affection from them?

"Yes, because I've got a great relationship with Inter fans and they've always appreciated me. I can't wait to be back in action playing in front of them."
