Charlys has joined Inter U23's

MILANO – FC Internazionale Milano can announce the arrival of Charlys Matheus Lima Pontes from Hellas Verona. The 2004-born midfielder joins Inter U23's on loan with an option to buy.

A midfielder who combines technical quality with physical power, Charlys was born in Maceió, Brazil, on 19 February 2004. He took his first steps in football in Vitória's youth academy, making his professional debut for the club before moving to Athletico Paranaense. In 2023, he began his adventure in Italy with Hellas Verona. He made his official debut in the Coppa Italia match against Bologna on 31 October before making his Serie A debut on 6 January 2024 at San Siro against Inter, in a match won 2-1 by the Nerazzurri thanks to Davide Frattesi's stoppage-time goal. The following season, he joined Cosenza on loan, making 27 appearances in Serie B and scoring his first professional goal against Brescia on 9 November 2024. After another season in Serie B with Reggiana, where he made 32 appearances, scored one goal and provided one assist, Charlys is now ready to begin his Nerazzurro adventure.
