SCOPRI DI PIÙPREVIOUS MEETINGS
Inter and Lazio have faced each other in the Coppa Italia 18 times, with history favouring the Nerazzurri: seven wins for Inter, five for Lazio and six draws.
It is just the second time the two sides will play each other in the Final of the Coppa Italia. The last time this happened was in 2000, when Lazio won the competition after winning 2-1 at the Olimpico and 0-0 at San Siro.
The balance between Lazio and Inter in the last twelves games outside of Serie A in the 2000s are perfectly even, with four wins each and four draws. Inter are unbeaten in their last nine against Lazio in all competitions, winning 7 (two draws), and recording six clean sheets.
NERAZZURRI STATS
This is officially the highest-scoring season in Inter’s history across all competitions (since 1929/30): 118 goals in 2025/26, including the Club World Cup.
Inter have scored 27 goals from set-pieces in Serie A - 19 more than Lazio, who are the team with the fewest.
Inter have also scored the most goals from outside the box from the Round of 32 onwards in this Coppa Italia: the Nerazzurri have found the net three times from far out (Esposito and Thuram against Venezia, Calhanoglu against Como).

Lautaro has also scored eight goals against Lazio in all competitions. With Inter, he has only scored more against Cagliari (twelve), Salernitana (ten) and Milan (nine), while he is also level on eight against Atalanta and Fiorentina.
DIMARCO AND THURAM
Federico Dimarco (17 - 5 goals, 12 assists) and Marcus Thuram (15 - 9 goals, 6 assists) are two of only three Serie A players, alongside Donyell Malen (16 - 14 goals, 2 assists), to have been involved in at least 15 goals across all competitions in the 2026 calendar year.
Since last April, no player across Europe’s top five leagues has been involved in more goals in all competitions than Marcus Thuram (9 - 6 goals, 3 assists), level with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembélé, Harry Kane, Ollie Watkins and Michael Olise.

Lazio head into the Coppa Italia final on the back of a 3-0 defeat to Inter in Serie A, in what was effectively a dress rehearsal for the showdown at the Olimpico. Despite the loss to the Italian champions, the Biancocelesti are going through one of their best spells of the season: over their last five matches they have picked up three wins (against Cremonese and Napoli in Serie A, and against Atalanta on penalties in the Coppa Italia), drawn 3-3 with Udinese, and lost only to Inter.
Lazio’s Coppa Italia run began in the Round of 16, when Maurizio Sarri’s side knocked out Milan at the Olimpico thanks to a 1-0 win secured by a goal from Zaccagni. In the quarter-finals they overcame defending champions Bologna on penalties at the Dall’Ara after a 1-1 draw in regular time. The semi-final clash with Atalanta was full of drama. After a 2-2 draw in the first leg at the Olimpico, Lazio booked their place in the final by defeating Atalanta on penalties in Bergamo. Following goals from Romagnoli and Pasalic that made it 1-1, the hero of the shootout was Lazio goalkeeper Edoardo Motta, who saved four of Atalanta’s five penalties to send the Biancocelesti through to the final.
Unlike the recent league meeting, Maurizio Sarri will not be on the touchline for the final due to suspension, meaning Lazio will face Inter without their head coach in the dugout.
