Inter Campus in Morocco: sport, growth and community
Inter Campus
— 10 hours agoOur initiative in Casablanca, alongside our partner Initiative Urbaine, has now come to an end
The project involved around 100 children, and a team made up of five coaches (three male, two female). The activities took place on two pitches in the neighbourhood and it was an opportunity to launch a new training module for the coaches. It focuses on life skills, with particular emphasis on cognitive skills. The participation and engagement from the technical-education team were excellent, both during the sessions in the classroom and on the pitch.
The children taking part live in extremely vulnerable situations, often with difficult family situations. In this case, the sporting activity offered by Inter Campus is an educational tool that provides a safe space for growth, friendship and personal development.
It was particularly important to see female participation, both amongst the children and the technical staff. This is testament to the inclusive and ever-evolving approach.
