Inter's CEO for Sport shared his thoughts with RAI

MILAN - Giuseppe Marotta guested on today's episode of 90° Minuto. Among the topics which the Nerazzurri’s CEO of Sport discussed with RAI were the team’s good run of form under coach Simone Inzaghi.

"Inzaghi had the backing of all the directors and slotted right into the club, and he’s been able to show what he has to offer. He’s proven his worth and has brought a lot to the team with his coaching. We’ve found a figurehead to guide our sporting ambitions. Inzaghi is doing a great job and our goal is to replicate last season’s success by seeking to win another Scudetto; it would be our 20th. It would be great for the fans and the club as a whole. Doing so would prove how the club is heading in the right direction. We already ended our ten-year absence from the Champions League knockout stages which was also significant.

“As for players signing new contract, there are some issues to address. We are happy with how are players whose contract are expiring have been playing; as such we’ve opened negotiations. Marcelo Brozovic is a really important player for us and is keen to stay at the club. We’re happy about that and we have to iron out the financial terms, but I’m optimistic.”
