LOS ANGELES – Inter take first steps on the pitch as the build-up to the FIFA Club World Cup officially begins.
On a cloudy morning in Los Angeles, the Nerazzurri kicked off their training sessions ahead of their tournament debut, scheduled for Tuesday, June 17 at 6:00 PM local time (3:00 AM on June 18 in Italy), when they will face Monterrey.
Inter's training sessions are being held at the UCLA campus facilities, the University of California, Los Angeles — a familiar setting for the Club, which trained here during the 2009 summer tour and played a friendly against the UCLA Bruins (2-2) on these very fields.
This morning’s session took place at the Wallis Annenberg Stadium, the campus venue entirely dedicated to soccer and a landmark for collegiate sports. The stadium is the official home of the UCLA Bruins men’s and women’s soccer teams.
At the end of the training session, American basketball player Kyle Alexander Kuzma, currently with the Milwaukee Bucks, paid a visit to the team. He exchanged a few words with some of the Nerazzurri players, who presented him with an Inter jersey as a gift.
