International experience, quality in build-up play, positional awareness and anticipation: John Stones is a centre-back with outstanding technical ability, adept at circulating the ball and competing in aerial duels. Born in Barnsley on 28 May 1994, he came through the youth ranks of his hometown club before making his Premier League debut with Everton. After three seasons, he joined Manchester City, with whom he won 20 trophies over ten years and established himself as one of the finest defenders in English football. With City, he made 295 appearances and scored 10 goals, winning six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, five League Cups, three Community Shields, one Champions League, one UEFA Super Cup and one FIFA Club World Cup. In summer 2026, he left England for the first time in his career and began his new adventure with Inter.
