BUENOS AIRES – ‘Uniendo Valores’ is a space for connection. Launched in 2019 by River Plate and Athletico Paranaense, this recreational initiative brings together the foundations of South America’s leading football clubs.

At its core is dialogue – on and off the pitch – offering young people the chance to learn and form new friendships. It is a reminder that beneath every shirt is a person worth knowing, and that, more often than not, what we share outweighs what sets us apart. Above all, it is a shared love for the game that unites us beyond club colours.

On the day Inter take on River Plate, young boys and girls from social inclusion programmes are also stepping onto the pitch, taking part in an initiative that links Seattle with Buenos Aires. It represents a truly special experience, made all the more meaningful by the ‘Tournament of Values’ and its ‘Green Card’, which honours the ‘Champion of Values’ – a player recognised for their fairness and selflessness, and someone who is held up as a role model among their peers.

This is the ethos with which Inter Campus and Fundación River Plate come together, alongside Fundación PUPI, to show how football goes beyond the 90 minutes of a match. It reaches into our everyday lives, even in the most remote streets. We are one big family united by the game.

The initiative builds on the Social Community Exchanges previously held during the Champions League knockouts, involving Feyenoord, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
