Esposito's first goal: "I thought it was a dream: incredible!"

“I still haven’t processed it – it felt like a dream. I was shouting, looking around, and then I saw Lautaro celebrating. That’s when I realised it was real! This is the result of all the work over the years, even the hard graft back at Spezia. Scoring my first goal just days after making my debut is incredible. Does it remind me of my goal in the play-off final? Luckily, this one was more important and had real significance – I’m really happy about that. The muscle pose is my celebration, and when I saw my brother, I ran straight over to hug him. Holding up the ball and helping the team move up the pitch – that’s what I do. I enjoy games like this. Maybe I’m even better in such matches. The Coach told me to use my strengths. I think I managed to do that, also thanks to the quality of my teammates.
