L'Inter di Piovani dopo il vantaggio iniziale firmato da Vilhjálmsdóttir viene recuperata dalle norvegesi nella gara valida per la semifinale del secondo turno di qualificazione: sabato alle 11 la sfida contro il Valur per il terzo/quarto posto


Si apre con una sconfitta l'avventura europea dell'Inter Women nella gara valida per la semifinale del secondo turno di qualificazione della UEFA Women’s Champions League. Contro il Brann, le nerazzurre approcciano bene alla gara e trovano il vantaggio già al settimo minuto con Vilhjálmsdóttir ma vengono recuperate dalle norvegesi in gol con Zomers e Gaupset. Nel finale l'assalto interista trova l'occasione più concreta con Polli che allo scadere prova la rovesciata e va vicinissima al gol del 2-2.

Si interrompe dunque il percorso nella UEFA Women's Champions League per la formazione di Piovani, che scenderà nuovamente in campo sabato alle 11:00 contro il Valur nella sfida per il terzo/quarto posto. Il match garantirà, alla squadra vincente, l'accesso alla UEFA Women's Europa Cup.

SK BRANN - INTER | LA PARTITA

L'Inter Women esce sconfitta dalla prima sfida del secondo turno di qualificazione della UEFA Women's Champions League ma lascia forti segnali sul campo giocando un match con aggressività, determinazione e carattere. L'atteggiamento della squadra di Piovani è chiaro fin dal principio e si manifesta con un'aggressività tattica e un approccio offensivo: le nerazzurre occupano da subito la metà campo avversaria e cercano la profondità in più occasioni. Dopo soli sette minuti di gara arriva il vantaggio con Milinkovic che serve dal fondo Vilhjálmsdóttir per la prima storica rete europea dell’Inter Women e il primo gol ufficiale in nerazzurro della centrocampista islandese. Il Brann cerca subito la reazione e risponde dopo soli sette minuti con la rete di Zomers che spinge in porta il cross dalla destra di Davidson. I ritmi del match si alzano e la squadra di Piovani ci prova ancora con Magull e Milinkovic. La ripresa si apre con la stessa pressione dimostrata nel primo tempo dalle nerazzurre che collezionano buone occasioni con Csiszar anticipata da Panengstuen e Vilhjálmsdóttir che ci prova da posizione defilata ma questa volta il tabellino non cambia fino al 55' quando a segnare è il Brann. Gaupset raccoglie un pallone vagante in area di rigore, si gira e supera Rúnarsdottir per il gol del 2-1. Le norvegesi attaccano ancora in cerca del terzo gol con un doppio tentativo ribattuto e la chiusura di Merlo su Lovera. A dieci minuti dalla fine però è l'Inter a spingere forte sfiorando il pareggio prima con Magull che riceve una palla filtrante e tira alto, poi con l'occasione più netta di Polli che va in rovesciata sul cross di Tomašević ma viene fermata da Panengstuen.

La formazione di Piovani, scenderà nuovamente in campo sabato alle 11:00 nella sfida per il terzo/quarto posto contro il Valur. Il match garantirà, alla squadra vincente, l'accesso alla UEFA Women's Europa Cup.

IL PROGRAMMA DEL MINI-TORNEO

Le gare si disputeranno secondo il seguente calendario:

Mercoledì 27 agosto 2025 Gara 1: SK Brann-Inter 2-1 Gara 2: Valur-Braga 1-3

Sabato 30 agosto 2025 Finale 3° - 4° posto Valur-Inter: ore 11:00 Finale 1° - 2° posto SK Brann-Braga: ore 17:00

Il mini-torneo rappresenta il secondo turno di qualificazione: la squadra vincitrice accederà al terzo turno, che si gioca in formato andata e ritorno contro un singolo avversario. In palio, l’accesso alla fase a gironi della UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Chi si classifica secondo o terzo nel mini-torneo, così come chi viene eliminato nel terzo turno, accederà alla nuova UEFA Women’s Europa Cup, l’equivalente della “Europa League” per il calcio femminile.
